Future of aviation in 2030 in Egypt

 Vision2030

Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation: Intends to expand annual airport capacity to 100 million passengers by 2030, with projections estimating 50.5 million passengers by the end of 2025. These numbers reflect significant progress toward this goal to achieve it we must have SMART AIRPORT.

SMART AIRPORT: Smart airports can revolutionize the aviation industry by tackling common airport challenges head-on and providing a seamless and exceptional experience for passengers, operators, and the environment. By using technology, smart airports improve airport operations across the board, including passenger check-in, security screening, luggage handling, and general administration.

WHAT IS A SMART AIRPORT?

A “smart” airport, like other “smart” concepts, uses cutting-edge technology to simplify airport operations, boost safety, enrich passenger experiences, and make airports more sustainable and environmentally friendly. This technology includes AI, the Internet of Things, data analysis, automation, and others.

New-VISION

SMART AIRPORTis an advanced, seamlessly connected operation where all actors and stakeholders collaborate to create and manage an optimized plan that delivers predictability and punctuality at the best price for the passenger.

SMART AIRPORTare airports that rely on the use of connected technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, GPS and sensors to perform planning and operations tasks digitally and support operational staff, optimizing passenger flows and the activities of the airport staff across the airport as shown in below figure.

BENEFITS OF SMART AIRPORT: Smart airports have numerous advantages that include: For example, but not limited to…

  1. ENHANCED PASSENGER EXPERIENCE.
  2. SECURITY ENHANCEMENTS
  3. OPTIMISED OPERATIONS.
  4. COST SAVINGS.
