    New terminal building and landside facilities:

    The Hurghada international airport is the second busiest airport in Egypt after Cairo International Airport.
    Construction of a new terminal complex at a cost of $300 million with an annual passenger capacity of 7.5 million and will reach up to 13 million passengers annually after the expansion .It includes 11 gates linked to passenger boarding bridges and new passage way for the biggest planes worldwide and will be an alternative for landing of planes in case of emergency at Cairo Airport.

    Business need:

    Deliver, Integration, Implement and test ULV and IT Systems Supply, with Warranty and Maintenance for 2 years.

    It is located in Sohag Governorate; 25Km south of Sohag. It was officially inaugurated on 25th May, 2010. It is designed to handle approx 3.5 million passengers/year.

    With our skilled team, AVIT has succeeded to apply the most advanced and latest infrastructure technology and airport systems in Sohag International Airport as one of the leading aviation companies in Egypt, offering not only equipment but also a fully integrated solution including design, implementation, testing and SLA as well.

     

    AVIT Scope of Work

    The design, implementation, configuration and testing of all the Airport Systems including the infrastructure solution based on Passive/ Active/ Wireless/ Security and Management Items.

     

    Systems Applied by AVIT

    The airport includes 13 systems classified as follows:

    • 7 Infrastructure Systems: LAN, WAN, IPT, Wireless, CCTV Infrastructure, Master Clock and Digital Signage Infrastructure.
    • 6 Airport Systems: CUPPS, FIDS, BRS, AODB, MQ and Billing System – SITA (provider)

     

    The Challenge

     

    • Wining the Tender against the biggest International Airport Systems' providers.
    • Finishing the project in 3 months. (Average: 6 months)
    • Working in parallel with the civil work.
    • The whole process was totally applied by AVIT Team.

    This project is related to the Smart/Complex Business Segment for the Ministry of State for Administrative Development (MSAD). It started on 1st January, 2009. AVIT Team has successfully implemented the solution of the first phase (4 Governorates) and the second phase (9 Governorates).

     

    AVIT Scope of Work

    The Smart Card Project includes the following:

    • Management & delivery of the Point of Sale (POS).
    • Provision of the Hardware for the 13 Governorates.
    • Providing Maintenance and technical support for all the equipment.
    • Training Projects for MCIT, MOF (SPIO Projects) and other entities.

    • Ability to handle and filter citizens’ data of 13 Governorates.
    • Strong Financial capability to cover the 13 Governorates with our offices and teams.
    • Submitting cards to families on time.
    • Great ability to remove all the obstacles that faced us during implementation.
